Trip Costs
The Balkan Peace Adventures fees cover:

all in-country housing
-
all in-country transportation
-
one Trip Guide for entirety of time in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)

interpreter/s (1 per 6 team members)

BiH Coordinators services
-
all breakfasts during the trip
-
local host expenses
-
all in-country preparations
-
International Travelers Insurance for each team member

Bosnia Peace Adventures t-shirt for each team member

2 pre-trip training sessions, including Trip Guide travel expenses
Your group is responsible for the following costs (not covered by the BPA fees):
-
airfare to and from Sarajevo, BiH
-
any other air travel costs (baggage, etc.)
-
all lunches and dinners in-country
-
trip incidentals (snacks, souvenirs, etc.)


Bosnia Peace Adventures fees
A. In-country fee - $120 per day per person
This includes housing (guest home or hotel), breakfast, transportation, one interpreter for every 6 team members, International Travelers Insurance, and the Trip Guide.
B. Special activities fees (if selected)
¬ river rafting: $70 per person; includes all rafting fees and river guide
¬ service project: $70 per project; includes all needed supplies
¬ seminar/workshop: $100 per seminar; includes guest presenter and materials
¬ Friendship Camp: $1,200 per camp; includes additional interpreters, lunch for camp participants and your group, program supplies
¬ Other special activities may require a fee
C. Trip administration - $1,000
This includes pre-trip training (2 sessions)* and materials, ongoing trip preparation support, all in-country preparations, etc.
D. Trip Guide travel expenses
¬ pre-trip trainings: variable; covers travel by car (mileage) or train if within 250 miles of New Jersey; by air if further.
¬ the Trip: variable; covers economy round-trip airfare for Trip Guide (New Jersey to Sarajevo, BiH). Fares vary based on rates at time of booking. Expected range is $700-$1,700.

Payment Schedule

Non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due when contract is signed.

Trip Guide air travel amount due four months prior to trip.

Remainder due 45 days prior to trip.
Sample Budget
For a team of 12 people on a 10-day trip with a schedule that includes a day of rafting, two days of service projects, and one seminar on reconciliation in Srebrenica:
A. In-country fee $14,400 12 people x $120 fee = $1,200 x 10 days = $12,000.
B. Special activities fees $840 rafting - $70 fee x 12 people = $840
$140 service projects - $70 fee x 2 projects = $140
$100 seminar - $100 fee
C. Trip administration $1,000
D. Trip Guide travel $1,300 the actual cost depends on current rates.

Total Trip fees $17,780
or $1,482 per person (total divided by 12)
