For 20 years Jason Reed, working for the New Jersey Synod, ELCA led the synod’s Bosnia International Servant Trip (IST) ministry.  It that role he helped recruit and train volunteer teams of young people and adults for the annual Bosnia IST. He had oversight responsibility for the all aspects of the trips - travel, financial planning, and team preparations, as well as guidance of the teams during the trip and leadership of their programs. He worked with Vjeko and Azra Saje in Sarajevo, BiH, as they coordinated all of the in-country elements: housing, bus rentals, communicating and planning with local schools and organizations, and more.

Now Jason has started Balkan Peace Adventures to help many more organizations and groups experience the priceless opportunities to learn, play, and serve with the people of BiH and experience their rich cultures and beautiful country.
